Alice Popovici covers the South Bronx, which includes the newly-built Yankee Stadium.

Alice grew up in Rockville, Md., and graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in film. After working in magazine advertising and teaching English as a second language, she took a journalism class at the invitation of a friend and quickly discovered a new passion. Since then, she has worked at a neighborhood newspaper in Austin, Tex., as a police and crime reporter at the Mohave Valley Daily News in Bullhead City, Ariz., and as a freelance reporter for The National Catholic Reporter.

Alice recently started working as bankruptcy court reporter, covering trials of businesses and corporations for Prospect News, a news wire service based in New York. She lives on the Upper West Side.
