Amanda Benchley covers the Central Park beat.

Amanda graduated from Princeton University with a degree in art history. She first became interested in journalism while working as a staff researcher and producer for A&E and The History Channel. Her Central Park beat has allowed her to cover a wide variety of community issues and city politics. “Central Park,” she says, “is a city within a city.” Amanda is interested in seeing how things work at the local level, and wants to make her readers more environmentally aware about the world around them.

She is currently working on broadening her skills in the industry and getting up-to-date on current technology. She lives on the Upper East Side with her children and dogs.
