Arturo Conde covers City Council District 3, which encompasses Chelsea and parts of the West Village and Hell’s Kitchen.

Though his family hails from the Galicia region of Spain, Arturo was born and raised in Manhattan. After graduating with a degree in Spanish literature and print journalism from New York University, Arturo spent four years in Spain working as a translator and English-language teacher. Today, he is an intern at TVLatina, a trade publication that covers the programming, cable and satellite industry in Latin America and the Hispanic market in the U.S. and Spain.

After graduating, Arturo plans to pursue a career in magazine publishing. He lives in downtown Manhattan.
